Early on day 2 we will board a bus and travel for 30 minutes to get to this wonderful place. Day 1: Cusco – Chinchero- Moray – Maras Salt Mines -Urubamba -Ollantaytambo – Machupicchu.
We will pick you up from your hotel at 7:30 AM. We head around 1 hour to arrive at our first point of visit the Inca city of Chicheros, a beautiful Andean city that combines Inca history with archaeological sites and colonial with a church built in the XVII century and enjoy their amazing textile art. We continue our journey toward the archaeological site of Moray, an Inca laboratory for agriculture, and circular terraces, The Incas used it as a center of agricultural research.
Then we return to the small Andean village of Maras and then head towards the Salt Mines or Salineras, old mines where local families process salt with traditional techniques on the way we will enjoy the traditional buffet lunch (Urubamba). Then we will depart toward the village of Ollantaytambo; from this, we will board our train for 2 hours toward Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival at the train station in Aguas Calientes, our staff will pick you up to take you to your hotel in a 5 to 8-minute walk. Then your guide will meet with you to provide details of your excursion for the following day, the big day to visit the Sanctuary of Machupicchu.
Day 2: Aguas Calientes – Machupicchu Guided Tour – Ollantaytambo- Cusco
Early in the morning, our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the bus station, and we will travel by bus to the citadel of Machu Picchu, which takes about 30 minutes approximately. Before entering Machupicchu you must show your documents to enter the citadel of Machu Picchu and start your tour by visiting the most attractive places in the Sanctuary. Machupicchu is one of the most famous examples of engineering, architecture, and assembly, and carved in different streets, plazas, ceremonial fountains, and temples, surrounded by lush vegetation. The citadel sits on top of the mountain at an altitude of 2,430 meters/7,972 feet above sea level.
A guided tour of Machu Picchu Citadel takes approx. 2 – 2.5 Hrs. and leads you through to all important areas, beautiful landscapes, temples, dwellings, best sights, and all archaeological sites with a capable guide. After our exciting tour, you have time for more exploration on your own, time to get the best photos and take the bus to Aguas Calientes to have lunch. Train return in the afternoon to Ollantaytambo (generally 15:20 depending on availability) and transport to Cusco. Transfer from the Train Station to your Hotel in Cusco.

Huayna Picchu is the mountain that stands next to Machu Picchu. It is a 45-minute hike to the top (On day 4th at 11.00 am). Ticket for Huaynapicchu costs $ 25 per person, discount $5 with University student card. If it is booked Machu Picchu Mountain walk Optional.

The Departure point for the trip

We recommend that you bring your original passport and (Univ student card if applicable). If you have booked with an old passport number please you must bring both of your passport. Inform previously to our office staff in Cusco.
Temperature
- Day temperatures vary from 12 -22 degrees Celsius
- you must always use layering to manage the temperatures well. Night temperatures, (in the coldest season May to Sept) average -2 to -5 degrees Celsius.
Climbing of Huayna Picchu Mountain
On Day 2 at 10:00 am. If you have reserved and paid for a permit in advance, please reconfirm with our office staff and your trek guide at the briefing time. The tickets for Huayna Picchu Mt are limited only 400 spots per day (you must please book in advance 7-6 months before . (When Huayna Picchu permits are sold out a walk to Machu Picchu Mountain is an option -3 hrs. walk). Otherwise, a free walk to the Inca Bridge is highly recommended.
Bus Up to Machu Picchu and bus Down to Aguas Calientes
Early in the morning, you will board the first bus to the Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. After your visit in Machu Picchu you are given your bus ticket for the ride down to Aguas Calientes which you can use at any time if you would like to further explore the site independently..
Peru Rail train tickets
If you would like any train tickets changes after the start of the trek must be made in person at Perurail in Aguas Calientes Station with proof of identity (ie your original passport.) They may charge fees for change of date and coach options will be according to space availability.
