Outdoor Activities in Cusco
EXCELLENT Based on 102 reviews Jeff S25. February, 2025Verified Three amazing trips in one for an impossibly low price. We were looking for something to do out of Cusco that did not take the entire day. We booked a 6 hour trip to Moray, Salt Mines and Weavers. This was a fascinating tour with a very knowledgeable guide - Manuel. We had a small group in a comfortable van.The Moray crop terraces, the family salt pots and the weavers are examples of the ingenuity of the Inca. Many opportunities to purchase gifts - salt and textiles. We totally recommend this tour. Manuel brings history to life and his knowledge of the Inca agriculture is thorough. Also, the tour contact (Maritza) has amazing communication skills and kept us on course. Easily one of our favorite trips. Sol P12. February, 2025Verified Full day private experience Apu Ausangate Trek was communicative and super friendly! From the associates who communicated via WhatsApp to our guide Marco, everyone was wonderful and accommodating for our first time in South America! This Is a great option for everyone who stay in the Sacred Valley .I would like to travel again with them . Sol P12. February, 2025Verified Best experience of my life Web had the best experience ever, if I never had Julio who was there to help me and encourage me I don't think I would have made it quite honestly. I think that Julio is the best tour guide I have ever had and I have been travelling for over 20 yrs... thank you to Julio for being so amazing and the best damn guide ever in the world!I recomment everyone to travel with this company. Pearline K9. February, 2025Verified FIVE STAR Service, delivered beyond our expectations and created memories to last a lifetime. We booked our tour with Apu Ausangate in August for January of 2025. The owner Mr. Julio is amazing, his attention to detail, communication from the day we inquired to the day we said goodbye to him in Cusco was over the top. He and his wife were tour guides in the past and have now opened their own business. We started our trip by visiting the sacred valley with the driver Juan Carlos and our guide John. They wanted to make sure we got the best of the day and arranged the itinerary where we were not with many big tour busses and get over-run by people. They ensured we knew what fair pricing was in the markets, so we were not taken advantage off as tourists. We had lunch at this amazing restaurant where we sampled a lot of the traditional Peruvian food. We continued our journey to Agua Calientes by the Expedition train where we said goodbye to Juan Carlos our driver. Our Guide John ensured we got on the train and then when we got off in Agua Calientes he was waiting for us at the train station. It was pretty late; we had met a lady on the train who seemed lost, and we asked John to assist her and without any reservations he helped her find her hotel and walked her to her hotel - great serviceWe were hosted at the Susanna Inn, which is a very clean and beautiful hotel, breakfast was outstanding, staff was courteous and friendly, views of the raging waters were phenomenal from your room as well as the breakfast area. The owner who is an older lady welcomes all of her guests and asks how everything is. Not speaking Spanish I was fortunate that we communicated with Google translate. The following day John came to pick us up for our tour to Machu Pichu. We had requested Julio, owner to book us on circuit 2 however not realizing that it would be hard for my husband to climb the steep hills I asked John to change to circuit 3. John let me know that he had bought (2) trekking sticks for my husband and we will attempt circuit 2 and if he is not able then we shall decide. John was the most patient, kind and understanding guide I have come across. He assisted every step of the way, lent his shoulder for support - Thank you John for your hospitality. On our return it was pouring rain and Mr. Julio, and his wife personally came to pick up and drop us at the hotel. I cannot say how amazed I was as in the USA we are not used to this kind of hospitality unless you are staying or touring with a five-star organization.I have traveled the world, and I can say Apu Ausangate delivered five-star service to us from start to finish. Usually, I do not write reviews however I was compelled to write a review for this company as they delivered far beyond our expectations, created memories that will last a lifetime and Kudos to them. Wishing them all the success in their business and I sincerely hope people give them an opportunity, book with them and they thrive in their business.Thank you again to Julio and John for this amazing experience. Hope to see you again sometime in the near future. J S2. February, 2025Verified Amazing day with amazing guide and perfect for day before machu piccu Rehider was a super host and made the whole day amazing!! not only was he so well catered to everyone through languages and answering questions, but he also was a super picture and video taker!! I mean he was directing me and took those Instagram style reel videos with amazing angles and flows into the main sites, he knew the best spots!!! very knowledgeable and learned so much on the day, fantastic sites and well worth the money. another great thing is they leave you in Ollantaytambo instead of Cusco centre so was perfect to get the train into maccu pichu to stay the say before your visit! thanks again. Shen Y31. January, 2025Verified Highly recommended We fully enjoyed our tour. Our guide Julio was very friendly and knowledgeable. We learned a lot from the tour. Highly recommended. Eren Y29. January, 2025Verified Friendy tour Perfect tour good moments if you're visiting cusco area first you must go here to see salt mines and terraces after you can go high altitude. Olivia C29. January, 2025Verified Amazing day trip Highly recommend this tour, the guide was really friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Very good value for money - you go quite far out of Cusco so very reasonable! Alessandra Isab... L25. January, 2025Verified Beautiful way to discover Moray, Maras and Chincheros Amazing experience with a Nice and friendly tourist guide who would answer all of my questions 😅I also liked the pace of the tour, it didn't feel rushed and I appreciate that a Lot! Thank You 🧡 DZarak15. January, 2025Verified Good value for money Everything was very good, it was a surprise to go to see how the process of handmade fabric is made. It was incredible, very impressed with the women of the Chinchero! The guide was very informative and kept giving information about the places we were driving through all the way to the final destination which were the salt mines. We went when it was a rainy season and the places weren’t too crowded. If you don’t have a lot of time it’s a good tour to take. The only downside is that when you get to the main destinations you really don’t have enough time to see everything. Other than that it’s a great value for money!
