Day 1: Ollantaytambo - Moray & Maras Salt Mines - Chinchero - Cusco
We start this day adventure to the Sacred Valley with the pickup from your Accommodation in Ollantaytambo 8:30 am or train station according the time you arrive. Pick-up time is flexible and it will be provided once the tour is confirmed. Based on the sites you are interested in; you will visit some of the following sites:
We start with the impressive Ollantaytambo ruins (optional if you did already) an ancient Inca fortress, then we travel to Moray and see the agricultural terraces built along the hillsides. These terraces were built by the Incas to grow an abundance of crops on less-than-ideal mountain terrain. Right next to this area, at Maras (Salt Mines), there are over 4000 salt ponds which was used for long time by our ancestors. This helped preserve their foods for long periods. After learning about Incan agricultural techniques, make your way to Maras town to enjoy our lunch. After lunch, make your way to the historical town Chinchero, a small rustic town where we will explore and them visit the textile weaving center. See various textiles woven with traditional Incan techniques. finally, we will drive to Cusco where the tour finish at the main square or your accommodation.

Temperature
- Day temperatures vary from 12 -22 degrees Celsius
- you must always use layering to manage the temperatures well. Night temperatures, (in the coldest season May to Sept) average -2 to -5 degrees Celsius.
Full Tourist Ticket
The Tourist Ticket (Boleto Turistico del Cusco – BTC) This visitors ticket costs $45 and half price for students, and is valid for 10 days. The full Cusco Tourist Ticket ticket allows you entry to 15 tourist places. These sites which are part of the Cusco City tour are Sacsayhuaman, Qenko, Pukapukara and Tambomachay, in addition to visiting the following sites Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Chinchero, Moray, Koricancha Site Museum, Contemporary Art Museum, Folk Art Museum, Regional History Museum, Inca Pachacutec Monument and the places in the South Valley: Tipon and Piquillacta.
Partial Tourist Ticket
Alternatively you can purchase a partial ticket for $20 which allows a one day only visit of just the 4 Archeological sites if you are not planning to visit any of the Sacred Valley sites such as Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Chincheros or a one day only partial ticket to visit the Sacred Valley sites such as Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Chinchero or Moray.
Where to buy your Cusco Touristic Ticket?
Full and Partial tourist tickets cannot be bought or reserved on the Internet. You can buy it on the same day of your visit, in the first archeological center of visit (Ollantaytambo).

We strongly recommend that full Travel Insurance is taken, which includes cover, under certain circumstances, against the loss of deposit or cancellation charges. Please note that no reimbursements are given when cancellations occur or for any unused services.

Pay a booking deposit online $50 per person. We accept credit/debit card payments and PayPal.
BALANCE (Cusco): pay one day before or before leave Cusco the same day of the tour
Notice the credit / debit card charges a fee of 5% and PayPal charges a fee of 8%, which we ask the client since it’s due to the use of its service. This tax is just for online deposits so that you will pay the remaining in cash (the briefing day in Cusco) without charges.
