Day 1: Urubamba or Ollantaytambo - Machu Picchu - Return to the Sacred Valley accomodation
We begin with the pick up from your hotel in Urubamba or Ollantaytambo at 5:00 to 7:00 am (confirmed by us a day before ) in a private car we head to Ollantaytambo train station, the train ride consists of spectacular views in the wonderful land of the Incas, amazing landscapes of mountains and valley, inca farming terraces in both sides of the valley and sub-tropical jungle the Vilcanota river will be next to you until Aguas Calientes (2040 meters high) known as Machupichu pueblo, where your tour guide will wait you at the train station, and transfer to the bus station, you will go up by bus for 30 minutes to Machupicchu control (2400 meters high), guided tour of Machu Picchu takes approx. 2 hours and half to 3 hours, Machupicchu the lost city of the Incas, his presumed constructor is Pachacuteq the 9th inca of this big empire, the Spanish did not know about the existence of Machupicchu but only the authorities and the priests of the tawantinsuyo “the four lands of the empire “, you will visit the impeccable organization of its terraces, stairs, buildings, patios and the famous temple of the condor.
The bus down to Aguas Calientes town is included where you have time for lunch (not included). Return by train to Ollantaytambo then to your hotel in Ollantaytambo or Urubamba.

You only need carry a small pack with camera ,basic toiletries , hat for the sun ,sunscream , insect repellent for mosquitoes , rain jacket and comfortable shoes or runners , extra money for lunch , snacks and souvenirs.
Bring your original passport and your ISIC student card if you have booked as a student.
The Departure point for the trip
Our meeting point is at your hotel in Urubamba or Ollantaytambo at 5:00 to 7:00 am
Left Luggage during your trek
It is best to leave extra luggage in your hotel in Urubamba or Ollantaytambo since you will arrive back around 6:00 to 9:00 pm.
Passport and student card
We recommend that you bring your original passport and (Univ student card if applicable). If you have booked with an old passport number please you must bring both of your passports. Inform previously to our office staff in Cusco.
Temperature
- Day temperatures vary from 12 -22 degrees Celsius
- you must always use layering to manage the temperatures well. Night temperatures, (in the coldest season May to Sept) average -2 to -5 degrees Celsius.

Bus Up to Machu Picchu and bus Down to Aguas Calientes
You will arrive in Aguas Caliente, then you will board the first bus to the Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. After your visit in Machu Picchu you are given your bus ticket for the ride down to Aguas Calientes which you can use at any time if you would like to further explore the site independently..
Peru Rail or Inca Rail train tickets
If you would like any train tickets changes after the start of the trek must be made in person at Peru Rail or Inca Rail in Aguas Calientes Station with proof of identity (ie your original passport.) They may charge fees for change of date and coach options will be according to space availability.
Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that full Travel Insurance is taken, which includes cover, under certain circumstances, against the loss of deposit or cancellation charges. Please note that no reimbursements are given when cancellations occur or for any unused services.
