Cusco is the most important destination in Peru because of Machupicchu ,the streets aroud the city has Inca disigned and you will observe the differents stages of the history from ancient times until today .
Our Cusco City Tour service includes visiting the Cathedral and the Temple of the Sun called Koricancha, and the incredible Inca ruins and archaeological sites that are located outside the city, such as Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pukapukara and Tambomachay.
Summary
Day 1
Pick up from your hotel in Cusco at about 01:00pm. First place to visit the Cathedral, then we go walking 5 minutes to visit Qoricancha. You will take the van 25 min. going to Sacsayhuaman, then you will take 5 min. bus ride to the Qenqo, following you will take another 10 min. to Pukapukara and finally we will visit Tambomachay.

Day 1: Cusco - The Cathedral - Qoricancha - Saqsayhuaman - Qenqo - Pukapukara - Tambomachay - Cusco
Pick up from San Francisco Square at 1:00 pm to begin the tour, you will head to CUSCO’S plaza de armas to visit the Cathedral with baroque architecture style, the biggest stones were brought from Saqsayhuaman, the most venerated Christ the earthquake lord, Señor de los Temblores, more than 300 paintings from the famous Cusco school of painting.
Then we go walking 5 minutes to visit QORICANCHA the Golden temple nowaday Dominics temple, this place has Inca wall in the base, fine and beautiful architecture, rich in history and legends.
From Qoricancha the group will walk down to the El Sol avenue, where you will take the bus 25 minutes going to SACSAYHUAMAN, was the head of the puma because Cusco had the shape of the puma, one of the most impressive sites built by the Incas, the stones in the wall are incredible the largest one weighs 128 tons, the zigzag walls are the major attraction, Saqsayhuaman today is still important because each June 24 we celebrate the INTI RAYMI.
From Saqsayhuaman, you will take 5 minutes bus ride to the QENQO a religious Inca center dedicated to honor and worship to Mother-earth, site to see its fascinating Incan altars, contains the most impressive carved rocks in the Cusco area.
Following you will take another 10 minutes to PUKAPUKARA (the red palace) that was used as a military control for travelers, a small circular Inca site.
Finally, we Will visit TAMBOMACHAY (Water Temple) a center of adoration and worship of water, with impressive water fountains, there are some interesting aqueducts.
We will them drive back to down Cusco where the tour ends close to the main square at 6pm approximately, unless you are taking the private tour, in which case, we will return you to your hotel.

Temperature
- Day temperatures vary from 12 -22 degrees Celsius
- you must always use layering to manage the temperatures well. Night temperatures, (in the coldest season May to Sept) average -2 to -5 degrees Celsius. The 3rd night is warmer average 6 degrees Celsius as it is lower altitude.
Full Tourist Ticket
The Tourist Ticket (Boleto Turistico del Cusco – BTC) This visitors ticket costs $45 and half price for students, and is valid for 10 days. The full Cusco Tourist Ticket ticket allows you entry to 15 tourist places. These sites which are part of the Cusco City tour are Sacsayhuaman, Qenko, Pukapukara and Tambomachay, in addition to visiting the following sites Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Chinchero, Moray, Koricancha Site Museum, Contemporary Art Museum, Folk Art Museum, Regional History Museum, Inca Pachacutec Monument and the places in the South Valley: Tipon and Piquillacta
Partial Tourist Ticket
Alternatively you can purchase a partial ticket for $20 which allows a one day only visit of just the 4 Archeological sites if you are not planning to visit any of the Sacred Valley sites such as Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Chincheros or a one day only partial ticket to visit the Sacred Valley sites such as Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Chincheros or Moray, if you are not going to have time to visit the 4 Archeological sites of Saqsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pucapucara and Tambomachay.
Where to buy your Cusco Touristic Ticket?
The Full and Partial tourist ticket cannot be bought or reserved on the internet. You can buy it the same day of your visit. You can purchase it at any of the following addresses in Cusco:
- Main office, Av. El Sol 103 – Central of Tourist Galleries
- In all places included in the Tourist Ticket (except for the Museum of Contemporary Art and Monument of Pachacutec).
