Day 1: Cusco - Chinchero - Moray - Maras Salt mines - Cusco
We will pick you up from your hotel around 8:20 am and head to Chinchero located at 3,762 meters high, Where we will appreciate the traditional market, where they practice bartering, we will visit the weaving workshop there the local people who still practice the QUECHUA tradition, they will show us how they get the colors from natural plants and you can take nice pictures dressed in Andean clothes. (Only in the private service is included Chinchero Inca Site.)
We continue to MORAY located at (3,450m/11,318ft) where we find the agricultural terraces with their complex system of irrigation and terraces, different levels of terraces are carved into a huge bowl, part of which was further excavated by the Incas, it is thought they were used by the Incas to discover the optimal growing conditions for their crops, these terraces served as a natural green house to grow an extraordinary variety of crops at an altitude normally not conducive for the crops, the Incas were very advanced in the knowledge of creating specific sub-climates.
Then we are on our way to SALT MINES, on the way we will see MARAS VILLAGE where its colonial architectural beauty is still preserved, you will see the building are of thin stone, them we move to SALINERAS, the salt mine consists of 3000 small pools, every three days, during the dry season, workers fill the pools with salt water that comes from natural hot spring, this place was work since pre-Inca time until nowadays, the salt is ground up, treated with iodine packaged and sent to various markets in the region.
Finally, you will head back to Cusco (Around 2:30 pm) in time to enjoy some lunch on you own.

The Tourist Ticket (Boleto Turistico del Cusco – BTC) This visitors ticket costs $45 and half price for students, and is valid for 10 days. The full Cusco Tourist Ticket ticket allows you entry to 15 tourist places. These sites which are part of the Cusco City tour are Sacsayhuaman, Qenko, Pukapukara and Tambomachay, in addition to visiting the following sites Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Chinchero, Moray, Koricancha Site Museum, Contemporary Art Museum, Folk Art Museum, Regional History Museum, Inca Pachacutec Monument and the places in the South Valley: Tipon and Piquillacta.
Partial Tourist Ticket
Alternatively you can purchase a partial ticket for $20 which allows a one day only visit of just the 4 Archeological sites if you are not planning to visit any of the Sacred Valley sites such as Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Chincheros or a one day only partial ticket to visit the Sacred Valley sites such as Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Chinchero or Moray.
Where to buy your Cusco Touristic Ticket?
The Full and Partial tourist ticket cannot be bought or reserved on the internet. You can buy it the same day of your visit. You can purchase it at any of the following addresses in Cusco:

- In all places included in the Tourist Ticket (except for the Museum of Contemporary Art and Monument of Pachacutec).
