The area of the valley between Pisac and Ollantaytambo is known as the sacred valley of the Incas, the valley has a milder climate than Cusco.
The places you will visit along the Sacred Valley route are: Viewpoint at the Sacred Valley (mirador of Taray), Pisac Inca ruins, Pisac typical market, Urubamba ( for lunch), Ollantaytambo Inca ruins and Chinchero Inca ruins.
Summary
Day 1
We pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at 8:00 am, we will travel from Cusco by bus past over mountains toward the sacred valley for 45 minutes, with calm we will visit places like The Taray viewpoint, the Inca ruins of Pisac and its traditional market, our delicious lunch in Urubamba, then we continue with our guided visit to Ollantaytambo and finally the tour of Chinchero.

The Sacred Valley of the Incas
The Sacred Valley of the Incas is known for three of the most important artisan markets in the Cusco region: Pisac, Ollantaytambo and Chinchero. This trip is recommended to adapt to the climate of Cusco in which you can enjoy the large traditional markets in these friendly and bustling villages.

Day 1: Cusco - Pisac - Urubamba - Ollantaytambo - Chinchero - Cusco
At 8:00 am we will pick you up from your hotel, we travel from Cusco by bus past over mountains toward the sacred valley for 45 minutes to our first stop MIRADOR OF TARAY where we have 10 minutes to take pictures and enjoy the view of the sacred valley, then we continuous to the first Inca site PISAQ with stunning views over the valley, on the vided walk into the citadel of PISAQ you can observe temples, residences, altars, channels, carvings, tunnels, the famous Intiwatana and the biggest ancient Inca cemetery anywhere with more than 2000 tombs.
We continue by bus to visit PISAQ MARKET you will be few minutes then we go driving for 1 more hour to URUBAMBA for buy lunch ,a further mins drive takes us to OLLANTAYTAMBO surrounded by the sacred mountains OLLANTAYTAMBO an important strategic military center, as well as, agriculture and religious centers like the Sun temple built on top of the hill with impressive constructions and carvings, farming terraces platforms and stone steps all connected ,below at lower part see the Inca princess bath fountain, this sites one of the few places where Spaniards lost a battle during the conquest.
On our return to Cusco we visit the baroque colonial church and archeological site of CHINCHERO with terraces and altars from this place we will see the impressive andes mountains, after this we will visit weavings workshop there the local people who are still practices the QUECHUA tradition, they will show us how them get the colors of natural plants and you can take nice pictures dressed in Andean clothes.
Finally, you have the bus back to CUSCO for 1 hour and finishing the tour at 6:30 approx.

- Day temperatures vary from 12 -22 degrees Celsius
- you must always use layering to manage the temperatures well. Night temperatures, (in the coldest season May to Sept) average -2 to -5 degrees Celsius.
Full Tourist Ticket
The Tourist Ticket (Boleto Turistico del Cusco – BTC) This visitors ticket costs $45 and half price for students, and is valid for 10 days. The full Cusco Tourist Ticket ticket allows you entry to 15 tourist places. These sites which are part of the Cusco City tour are Sacsayhuaman, Qenko, Pukapukara and Tambomachay, in addition to visiting the following sites Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Chinchero, Moray, Koricancha Site Museum, Contemporary Art Museum, Folk Art Museum, Regional History Museum, Inca Pachacutec Monument and the places in the South Valley: Tipon and Piquillacta.
Partial Tourist Ticket
Alternatively you can purchase a partial ticket for $20 which allows a one day only visit of just the 4 Archeological sites if you are not planning to visit any of the Sacred Valley sites such as Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Chincheros or a one day only partial ticket to visit the Sacred Valley sites such as Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Chinchero or Moray.
Where to buy your Cusco Touristic Ticket?
The Full and Partial tourist ticket cannot be bought or reserved on the internet. You can buy it the same day of your visit. You can purchase it at any of the following addresses in Cusco:
- Main office, Av. El Sol 103 – Central of Tourist Galleries
- In all places included in the Tourist Ticket (except for the Museum of Contemporary Art and Monument of Pachacutec).
